Canadian Oil Sands Trust Annual and Special Meeting

Calgary, April 24, 2008 (TSX – COS.UN) — Canadian Oil Sands Trust will release its first quarter 2008 results and hold its annual and special meeting of Unitholders on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. (mountain standard time) in the Grand Lecture Theatre of the Metropolitan Conference Centre, located at 333 Fourth Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta.

The close of business on March 10, 2008 was fixed as the record date for determination of those Unitholders entitled to receive notice and to vote at the meeting. All proxies must be received by Computershare Trust Company no later than 2:30 p.m. (mountain standard time) on Friday, April 25, 2008.


Canadian Oil Sands provides a pure investment opportunity in the Syncrude Project through its 36.74 per cent working interest. The Trust is an open-ended investment trust managed by Canadian Oil Sands Limited and has approximately 479.4 million units outstanding, trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol COS.UN.
